The multidisciplinary team also includes a range of comprehensive services without which holistic care of our patients could not be maintained.
The overall aim of our team is to enable the patient and family to experience illness in a less distressing way.
Hospice In Patient Unit
Provides holistic treatment for the management of pain and symptom control, addressing physical, psychological, spiritual and emotional needs.
Hospice Day Care
Provides specialist palliative care and support, enabling patients to be cared for at home.
Specialist Nurse Team
The Specialist Nurse Team are available to offer specialist advice and support to patients and their families, hospital staff and Primary Care Teams (i.e. GP and District Nurse).
The service aims to ensure that wherever patients are cared for the philosophy and principles of palliative care will be applied.
Lymphoedema Specialist Nurses
Our Lymphoedema Nurses provide care and support to patients experiencing problems with limb swelling (often secondary to cancer).
